SETSUO KANO

Drawing on his experience as a distinguished collector of Edo-period paintings, he combines sharp
discernment with refined aesthetic intuition. In just six years, he has created over 1,300 works
?a testament to his prolific drive and singular vision.
Using only water-based ink on a fusuma-size, about 90cm wide by 180cmtall,
Japanese paper canvas, SETSUO demonstrates the sensibility and soul
beyond the five senses, based on his philosophy of impermanence (MUJO).
